recommend a book on photoshop 7

can anyone recommend me a very good book on photoshop 7?I really need to hone my photoshop skills so i can make adjustments /improve my photos.something from the basics right through to more advanced techniques if possible,in an easy to understand way...

I would say that Adobe Photoshop 7 Classroom in a book is a good one to start with. They are laid out in quite a logical way and take you through the various stages with a series of exercises that teach you the principles.

The best way to learn after you have mastered all the basic principles is to search for tutorials on the net. There are some very good ones out there that you can print out and then follow through using their pictures in the first instance and then after you get the gist of it, you can try them out on your own pictures.

Avoid any Deke McClellands books or tutorials as he just seems to flit from one thing to another, and will get you even more confused. I have a couple of his books and they stay firmly on the shelf.

That'll keep you busy then and help to fill your bookshelf.

Go to your local library, join, they will get you any book, 'Photoshop', 'Idiot's Guides'.
There are loads of them about.
Try 'Photo Answers', on the net, they do tutorials on a FREE site, it is great!!!
Sign up and you are away.

if i'd have known about your book before ordering from amazon,i would have had it...but i don't think the missus would buy me another early fathers day pressie...
