I would like some gallery software to share the pictures people have taken at my wedding. As such I don't need all the fancy bells and whistles to be able to sell images etc

I would just like to be able to upload images into a folder structure and have them display nicely.

I am currently using Gallery3 but it won't play nice with google chrome. The java scripting seems to break and what should be ajax overlays display as new pages etc.

Any other suggestions

I use Minigal, the Nano version, works well and its quick... you can see it working at HERE

Whack the photos in the folder and it populates on its own including thumbnails etc... very simple and easy!!! :)

I don't know if I am barking up the right tree but have you tried foliopic?

Have a look at Porta:
http://www.stegmann.dk/mikkel/porta/

It's small, fast and has some useful options like watermarking the images and extracting the EXIF info as captions.

It leaves a folder structure that you can just copy up into a folder on a website and link to.

I like the look of Mingal Nano, will have a try of that this evening.

Isn't Foliopic a paid for service? I just want to post up the pictures of my wedding, not pictures I have taken of customers weddings.

:)

There is also a modified version that allows you to have comments and also caches the thumbnails
