Hi all,

I really need some help here. A friend of mine who's partner passed away has written a book based on their life together. He has a B&W shot of them together which he loves and wants to put on the cover. But has asked me for the original file which was colour. I have never seen this picture before but he's adamant I edited it for him ( I didn't)

Is there anyone who can show me how I get this thing back to colour? or can even do it for me for beer tokens? he's in a right state about the whole thing and I'd like to help him out.

Forgot to add, I have a really low resolution of the original file for reference
 
Depending on the photo it should be easy enough as you have a colour shot to grade from, that said without seeing the pic who knows. Maybe post the pics and let someone have a go? I'm hoping the B+W shot is decent res.
 
It looks like he may have sorted it by finding an alternative. I'll update if this isn't the case.
