Eneloop!

+1

Just bought a pile of Eneloop's for my flashes, can't fault them

Another vote for Enloops. I used them in my speed lights and they were excellent.

Eneloops. Don't forget that the technology in the Eneloops (low discharge) is also found in several other brands of rechargeable batteries, just that the Eneloop trademark is best associated with it.

In practice this means:

Eneloop, Panasonic infinium, amazon basics, 7dayshop good to go, and Duracell do a line too.

Envelops and 7day own batteries are pretty good too...

What chargers are you guys using for your Eneloop batteries?

Eneloop or the 7ds good to go. I use the Eneloop ones for the flash and the 7ds ones in the wiimote and other kids toys.

Can someone point me to the best place to get the Eneloop batteries please and does it matter what charger as I have a energiser charger

cheers guys seems like the Eneloops are a winner .. ebay seem to have some decent deals with charger .. gonna have a look ate that ..

Use Amazon, too many fakes on feebay!

Got mine from ebay a couple of years ago & still going, there are a lot of genuine traders on there.:)

Amazon have Duracell AA battery's two packs of 4 battery's for about 10 quid..they are 2450Mah they are wicked..I've used many packs for my home studio!

Sanyo eneloops here too, been using them for a few years now, great for flashes and the kids cameras where they might not use them for a few months and with previous rechargeables they would just go flat after a couple of shots....

so it looks like most go for the Eneloop type but upon looking at them on amazon none gives you what mAh they are.? are they all the same ? or does this not matter.? I always thought the higher the mAh the longer they will last per charge.?

can anyone plz advise
cheers.

The standard AA Eneloops are 1900-2100mAh, and there are high capacity 2450mAh Eneloop XX as well.

The mAh rating has nothing to do with holding charge, just purely capacity. You can get batteries which have higher capacity than the Eneloops, but if they don't retain their capacity and discharge at a faster rate than the Eneloops, then you'll probably just end up at 2100mAh anyway!

+1 for standard Eneloops - they seem to last for ages. Usually carry a set of spares (just in case) - but haven't needed to use 'em yet.

Eneloops for me also. 2100mah is plenty of charge

Can these battery be charged in any charger? I've a energiser charger but the battery rubbish always discharge fast

I charge mine in a energiser charger and have no problems with them. Ive heard they are best charged by a slow charger though.

Hmmm not sure if mine slow or fast

Mines a fast one, think its only 2 hours and had no probs but was just saying that i think they prefer to be 'trickle' charged

thanks guys i'll just go with a set of them ones then..
