I have 3 x battery chargers, 2 for batteries for the DSLR's and 1 for the P&S.

They used to live in the kitchen - nice and neatly tucked away until SWMBO tidied up and put them "somewhere safe" (i.e. tucked away in a drawer / cupboard....)

Guess the problem... yep, she cannot remember quite "where!"

marriage is reasonable grounds for divorce :p

Of course it's Lynton's fault. He left them in the kitchen. You need a man shed, man.

Shouldnt they be kept in your man drawer along with every mobile phone you've ever owned since 1995, loads of dud batteries, screws and bolts leftover from home assembly furniture, keys for stuff you have no idea what, etc, etc

Turn the house upside down looking for them and leave the mess. That should reduce the incidences of 'tidying' ;)

Throw her out and tell her you will put all of her clothes 'somewhere safe' for her to collect at a later date :p

I thought it was just me ... :jawdrop:

And a torch with no bulb, and some fusewire wrapped around cardboard holders.

Most of my desk drawers are like that.... along with important unsorted paperwork I'll never look at again :)

Get a universal charger that'll do them all and keep it somewhere out of her reach. Explain that the cost is coming out of her allowance since she hid lost the originals. Explain further that she's lucky you didn't buy new cameras since the old ones are U/S without their chargers...

I have a man drawer, it does not mean that is where my wife puts things when she is tidying :(

Man up and find them.
You do live in the same house....yes?

Fair point well presented (y)

I have a "man house" :woot:
No one tidy's and I know where everything is perfick (y)

It's ok, I've corrected it for you... and I must agree, excellent advice for Lynton. :naughty:

May I interrupt and offer a female perspective on this little issue .... Firstly, if men didn't leave superfluous junk in the kitchen then said junk wouldn't need to be "tidied" away by SWMBO ...

Secondly ... Unless you live in a vast house with countless cupboards and drawers, then surely it's not beyond the wit of man to systematically work through those that you do have to find the "lost" items ....

Thirdly ... Trashing the place as part of your disgruntled search process will result in all manner of undesirable consequences and retributions, part of which will be the need to tidy up and purchase placatory gifts ....

In short, look for and locate the lost items, remove them from the kitchen, ensure they don't reappear in the kitchen and all will be peace and domestic harmony henceforth. Simple ...

.... Removes tongue from cheek and goes back to kitchen ....

I blame the ones who outlawed public flogging ...
Anyway...as we all know, they are not allowed out of the kitchen so don't waste your time searching anywhere else in the house :)

I'm not totally sure how you got out of there in the first place :p

That was birching hence the saying "rule of thumb"
You were not allowed to hit a woman with a stick, any thicker than your thumb :D

Now go make me a sandwich :P

I can't open a drawer or cupboard in the kitchen without the sight of it being rammed full of anything and everything.

Well ... If your kitchen cupboards are rammed full of anything and everything, then you clearly need to invest in a new one with better and more up to date storage. Magnets or B&Q do nice ranges, or there are plenty of more up market brands to chose from.....

.... Goes off to phone Mrs Antihero to arrange girly kitchen viewing outing .....

.... WARNING ... This could get expensive .... Or you could just stop leaving your camera junk in the old kitchen ...

Sounds like the mysterious and elusive place called "tidy"

I'm having similar issues with post, my system was infallible, post comes in, goes in two piles:

1) Junk, needs de-personalising and binning (would normally wait for a week's worth to make it worthwhile doing)
2) Need to take action and or file (normally dealt with in a day or two)

Oh no, that won't possibly do, we need a "post rack" so ALL post comes in and goes into the post rack which is in a neat tidy place that I forget about and the letter I needed to send back to the refuse collectors to renew my green waste disposal permit which was meant to got back by 24th Jan is still in the post rack even though I've retrieved it from the rack and left it in an obvious place twice, only for it to be put back ...........................

superfluous junk.

Ah, that'll be the same as the 24 varieties of assorted fruit flavour oxter and arse cleaner that are arranged by size and colour in the bathroom then.

Know that feeling.....

I would hazard a guess that all of these replies are done so from the safety of your man sheds. :bat:
Strangely enough it is my husband who "tidies" things away of mine never to be seen again. Sounds like some role reversal going on here in my house!

LOL Mine does have his uses I guess bit it's infuriating also, when I go to find something which has been in the same place for months only to find he has had a "tidy up" to make more space as he puts it! He is exceptionally neat and tidy with a hint of OCD I believe :naughty: His wardrobes and drawers are a sight to be seen, everything so neat and tidy, quite the opposite of mine.

Come to think of it, I need a woman cave and I don't mean the kitchen before any of you guys suggest that. :runaway:
