Hi all, I use rf-602 triggers for all my off camera work and have never had any issues or need to upgrade.

I am looking to use my off camera flashes with rear curtain which is not supported with the rf602's.

A TTL cord would work but the coiled cable doesn't lend itself to distance from camera. Are there uncoiled versions I can use in this case, can't seem to track any down? I'm using Nikon D7000 with SB700 and SB800.

Cheers

Could just buy the 622's they offer second curtain.
From the other YN622c user guide

Second Curtain (Rear Curtain)
The flash fires right before the shutter closes, giving the appearance of forward motion.
· The 622 provides 2nd Curtain sync in either ETTL or Manual Flash modes, including with
off-camera flashes.
· Not in Multi (stroboscopic) flash mode.
· Not in Wireless mode (and therefore no group functions available).
· Shutter of around 1/30th sec (see your camera guide) through to Bulb.
· Camera must be in a Creative mode.

Those are Canon rules; Nikon has different rules, Gary.

AFAIK, Nikon uses the centre pin to fire 2nd/rear curtain. That suggests that the 602, which handles centre-pin, will fire Nikon 2nd curtain signal. The 602 does not know how the fire! signal relates to shutter action.

Canon uses the data line on the 3rd auxiliary pin, not the centre pin, to fire 2nd curtain. This is why a hack is needed, to interpret that data and convert it to a fire. Or, of course, a YN-622C.
