Hi

About 3 months ago I built a NUC pc and bought Windows 10 which was on a cute little USB stick. Everything was installed and worked fine but the PC was ....well a bit crap so all the components went back for refund. I did not send back the Windows USB. I am now thinking of building another 'proper' PC and was wondering if It is possible and legal to re use the windows 10 on the USB?

Thanks

In the box there is a credit card with the serial number on it. I believe that windows puts the serial number on the CPU so it's easy to re-install if needs be. I'm guessing I should be OK?

Looks like I can transfer as much as I want as I bought a full retail copy......whoop!

you can of course use it on another PC it will authenticate to Microsoft and mark it as used.
when you try to authenticate on the new pc it might have a grumble.
MS used to allow 3 uses of a code and it would reset after 12 months to be used again I believe.

however they also have a telephone number you can call and if you speak nice they will reset it for you.
