Help, I've just reduced the size of an image without keeping a copy of the original. Does CS3 store the original file anywhere?

I still have the RAW file, but this image had loads of work done on it :bang:

If you've not closed the document, you can undo...? Although I'm guessing you have closed it...

I hate it when that happens, adobe need to have something which stores all files somewhere.

I once created an action which resized and saved, I then batched it on over 200 images.. :bonk: :geek:

Do you have auto back up set?

The re-touch work was done in PS not ACR, so presume I'll have to do it again.

You'd think Adobe would put in some type of temp folder which stores versions at least until you closed the application

Can you recover the pic off your memory card using rescue software and start again?

Chris :)

I think we have all done this at sometime.....Look on the bright side..You won't do it again :bang:

if you've got windows vista or windows 7, you might be able to use the 'previous versions' feature to get an older version of the file back.

right click the folder where the image is saved, on the menu click 'properties' and then click the 'previous versions' tab.

hope that helps!

This is one of the easons I use NX2, you can save each edited image in NX2 and it creates a seperate file for each that is then saved in the NEF. It also saves all of the edits you have done so if you dont like any of it you can open the image up again and change what you want.
