Hi all

I have a quad core laptop that's now grinding to a halt so I'm guessing a fresh install of windows is due

I upgraded from xp to windows 7 but did not do a fresh install at that point

When I run the disc will the serial code that I have just work, or will I need to mess about calling Microsoft

My copy is a genuine copy and has not been used other than to upgrade my machine

I have googled this but cant seem to get a definitive answer

As long as it's not purely an upgrade disk then you should be fine using the COA stickers number.

It's always best to a clean install but unless you have the serial numbers for all your software it can be a pain.
 
Hmmm I don't have the disc in front of me but I know it's in a green outer box and cost about £90 at the time when it was first released
 
just backed up 265gig or carp, install in progress, fingers crossed :thumbs:
