I have got my RB67 and love it and I am plannng some serous action with in this year.
I have a 90mm but fancy a wider lens what do other folk have and how do they perform?

I would like a 50mm or 65mm

Both excellent lenses, I have a 65 original and a 50 c. Both of mine flare like hell, the 65 is uncoated and has an excuse the 50 not so much. 50mm is really quite wide on 6x7 and can be hard to compose for so I tend to roll it out only for special occasions where as the 65 and 127 make up my standard kit for day out.

Thanks Steven I did think the 50 would be very wide to be honest.

Y'see, I don't think its that wide, can't imagine there's much difference between a 50 on 6x7 and 6x6 but it only looks like about 30-35mm on a 35mm camera, its a limitation of the Mamiya 6 lens range that the WA is only a 50, subsequent RF's were redesigned to allow the use of a wider WA, I suppose whilst not being very wide it does cut down on distortion some what.
Agreed, its a bit too wide for general walkabout but it feels like a bit of a compromise on 6x6 as a genuine full fat WA...:)

The Sekor C 65 is a very nice lens. Vignettes in the corners on instant film, but not a problem with the usual 6x7 negative frame.

It doesn't really translate to 35mm though, since the frame is also much taller. 30 ish on 35mm isn't hard but then often you don't have to work so much on the sky.

Its not "much" taller or wider, its 15%, mebbe that makes all the difference though, I dunno

I wish there was something wider for Mam 6 :(

True, I guess it just feels much bigger with it being more of a square. I never had too much problem with very wide on 35mm but the 50 can be Had bear.

50 is about 24mm on 35mm

i think the 65 is a sharper lens, but less wide

ffordes might still have a polaroid back for 25 quid ;)
