hey hey

i shot in raw for the first time today. i want to put a pic on here but i cant seem to do it.

i have put jpegs on here via photobucket but the raw files wont upload to photobucket.

do i need to convert them or is there a easy way to get them on here?

Depends what you're using to process, I use Lightroom & CS3 for my processing needs, but there are lots of raw converters out there, Picasa from Google being one..

There are loads of options on Google, searching for "RAW converter" if you don't already have one.

Then just "save as" a JPG.

Remember RAW is the equivalent to a film negative, nothing has been done to it in camera.. you have to apply all the settings you want, and make sure you sharpen (I always forget to to do that :bonk:)

i have elements 5. can i convert using that? how??
 
open the raw file in elements and a raw converter should pop up (adobe camera raw or similar). Have a play untill you like what you see then click "save as" and choose .jpeg.
