I have a Sony a77 MK2 I always shot in raw using the Mk1- I cannot seem to find a RAW update for Photoshop CS5 for the Sony a77 Mk2, anyone have a direct link- I could click on, I can only find an update for Adobes Photoshop CS6

I've driven myself mad looking for this - I even contacted Adobe over 3 weeks ago and still no response, which annoys the hell out of me having paid £650 for the programme

adobe list this as the correct title for my camera- ; Sony Alpha SLT-A77 II (ILCA-77M2).

Les

ps- I have tried to upload directly via Photoshop but I get a message saying my internet settings are wrong or the firewall is blocking the connection

Maybe the right time to explore CO9 for Sony!
Their answering time is 24 hrs and reliable.

Your camera requires ACR 8.5 which i believe is Photoshop CS6 and above.

Looks as though CS5 doesnt support that version of ACR as it only goes as far as 6.7.

You will have to do DNG conversions to work RAW files

That's it. You either download a more recent version of Adobe's DNG converter, which is a free-standing app that can produce universal dng files that you can then process in your normal manner (they'll be accessible unlike your native raws), or you go down the Lightroom / Capture 1 route, which'll cost you. Or you migrate to CC, which'll cost you too.

There are free raw converters out there too. Didn't your camera come with one?

I can download the DNG software- just not sure how to use it - I did see the latest update from Adobe was ACR 8 and CS 6 only, I thought I was loosing the will to live after a 4 hour search

I spent enough on CS 5, I'll maybe look at free RAW convertors - my Camera came with software, but not a RAW convertor

Thanks all

Les ;)

Gimp has a raw converter. I have used that but not with an a77ii.

Im lazy. I just leave mind in jpeg mode :coat:

Trust you- I do miss the RAW option, much more you can do with RAW files

I'll have a look around- or maybe I should stay in Lazy Jpg mode too :p:p:p:p
