Raw to DNG in LR 5

Hi guys,
I do hope this isn't a duplicate query. I have endeavoured to search for a similar thread without success.

My query is this: In LR5, I have imported camera RAW (olympus ORF) instead of converting to DNG at import stage.

How can I convert to DNG now that the library contains ORF?

Adobe DNG converter. Find the folder, convert the files, and update the catalogue.
 
Thanks for the replies, I've got the 'know how' now.
Having researched further, I'm not sure whether to stick with native raw and export in DNG should the need arise. Though the upside of DNG is a smaller file size overall, c.f. native raw + sidecar files.
What do the more experienced LR / PS users do?

Hi, I think if you look around the web with that question you will get around a 50/50 split.
Personally I import and keep RAW.

Some people love dng and some, well, don't :)

Seen a recent video, where workflow in LR, involved working on resized dng's (resized to monitor resolution, e.g. 1920 x 1080) rather that full resolution images. Of course this would only be useful for global adjustments, but could speed up workflow.

I don't bother with dng's, as I can't see any real advantage and if I need to, I'll always be able to at a later date.

Hi, I convert to DNG on import to an external hard drive, then after backing the DNG files up to two other external hard drives I format the memory cards. I personally can see no reason to keep the original files in RAW as well.

Only my opinion of course but it works for me.
