Raw thumbnails not showing

Not sure what has happened here, all used to be fine but was prompted to download an updated codec pack the other day, since then the thumbnails are not showing, just the default flower pic. Im on windows 7, files are cr2

i think you need this rather than a third party codec pack

That's the one I downloaded the other day.

Go to the canon site and download the canon codec for your model camera and your operating system, note there are different downloads depending on whether yours is a 64bit version of windows or a standard 32bit version.

Make sure you get the correct one from Microsoft or it doesn't work. The 64 bit version is confusingly the one with amd in the name. I picked the x86 one and it didn't work In W7 64 bit

This is confusing me now Windows live photo viewer shows all the thumbnails, but windows explorer is only showing the jpeg files, even after downloading the updated codec form canons site.
