Is the canon eos 400d RAW capable? I have been reading a few reviews and looking into getting my first DSLR i have read that it is but a friend who own's one says it isn't. Is it a case of operator error or am i reading false info?

Yes it is, all Canon dslrs are RAW capable m8.
 
It is most definately capable of shooting RAW :thumbs:
