Raw or JPEGs in Lightroom 3?

Hi,

I've got my camera set to RAW + Large JPEG so I can get both.

When I import into Lightroom, is it importing the Raw or JPEG, or both? I only see one copy of each photo in my library and assume it's the RAW, so any processing like white balance etc. that's done inside the camera is presumably being ignored?

I'd like to have the RAW versions available somewhere, just in case I need to do something with the original, but would prefer the JPEGs to be visible and exportable from Lightroom because I don't want to have to go through and lighten/darken/set white balance on every photo if I've got loads and just want to get them off the camera and up on Facebook or similar in a hurry.

is this possible?

Why are you shooting in RAW and JPEG??

If you are importing into LR anyway you might as well save the space and speed your camera up by shooting RAW only

Because most of the time the JPEGs will be fine and much quicker when you just need basic WB etc. done for you automatically and want to get the photos up on Facebook or whatever quickly.

I've no idea when I might need the RAW files though so it's nice to have the option.
