A RAW file is unprintable data that can be converted into an image such as a jpeg or Tiff for viewing or printing.
Therefore you will need software that does the conversion for you.
Most folk use photo editors (such as Photoshop, but there are loads of others). The RAW file is loaded into the editor and is "worked on" (there is a miriad of things that can be done to it). When that is done it is saved - usually as a maximum quality jpeg.
RAW files can be saved as Tiffs, which are a lossless format, but the files are huge.
