Raw in CS5 vs Raw in Lightroom

Is the Raw editor in lightroom the same as ACR in CS5?

I'm using Elements 10 at the moment but like the full features of ACR in CS5 just don't like the price @ 500-600 quid, so would Lightroom be a good bye to get the Raw features?

As far as I'm aware, the actual Raw processing engine/options are the same with ACR and LightRoom.

Unless someone knows different. :shrug: :)
 
Lightroom 3 and CS5 camera raw are essentailly the same (same processing engine) and share more ot less the same control options, LR also has the libary slideshow, web and print options.

As far as I can tell, CS5 and Lightroom 3 have the same functions. Elements certainly used to have quite a cut down version of ACR although I haven't seen it since v7 so some functions may have been added since then.

No it doesn't.... Not sure about Elements, but they are equivalent between LR and CS5 (and yes, I have been a*** and checked it!)
