Hi all,

I currently use elements 7 and canon DPP. I only use raw now, and have to use DPP to do any changes to WB, sharpness, cropping, straightening etc. I then save and convert to jpeg,
I can then open in elements 7 to do anything else, such clone, dodge or burn, etc.

Elements 7 will not open my raw files (I have a canon 1100d). I tried downloading the plugin but cant get it to work. I like all the tools in elements 7, but was wondering which would be the first edition to open my raw files? I know elements isn't expensive anyway, but if I can get a cheaper older edition of flee-bay then all the better.

Thanks for advice.

Thanks Gary, I'll try this tomorrow when I turn the laptop on and report back.

It seems to be a factor of the digital era that the development of hardware / software is paced at a relentless gallop and compatibilty issues arise all the time. So we often become seekers of workarounds (solutions that don't cost anything). At other times we're forced to get our wallets out - a painful process if your cultural heritage is from Yorkshire, Scotland or Ceredigion. A retreat to the Stone Age seems appealing at times.

its alright rog this update is free ;)

Ta very much Gary, all installed and working well. And as you say it's all free !

Or I will when I get the malt out (that I paid for!).

As a Scot I have to say "Always get the Malt out" lol. While on the subject Rog, I see you are from Wales. Now it pains me to say this but I possess and enjoy a large number of different Malts from £30 a bottle to £150 a bottle and one of my absolute favourites is Welsh ! Yes Welsh Single Malt Whisky (confirmation needed but I think it is the only Welsh SMW). Its from the Penderyn Distillery and its damned smooth. Love it.

Well done Boyos'
