I want to start experementing with the raw mode on my Olympus Evolt E510 using CS3 for image edeting however, this is not possible unless I download a Raw converter which is compatible with my camera and CS3.I see Adobe offer a plug in but only on a month`s trial therefore can anyone suggest a free Raw converter which would be compatible without having to pay out lots and lots after just a month.
Also would it be easy for me to download into my present CS3 system.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Lightroom - Free download. All you need to do is register a new email adress every 30 days and re download the trial. A wee bit extra hassele but saves me 200 quid! I will get round to buying it as its great.

You don't need a new program, you just need the Adobe Camera Raw plugin from Adobe.

The last version of ACR for CS3 is v4.6. Luckily the Olympus Evolt E510 is already compatible in that update. As far as I know it is not a time limited download, you may be confusing that with the Lightroom 3 demo.

You could obviously download the Lightroom 3 trial, but there is no need if it is just for RAW compatibility by just using the plugin link above.
 
Another alternative is to use Adobes free DNG converter, this converts your Raw image to an adobe .DNG (another sort of raw file) this CS3 will open as raw. It's another workflow step but it's quick and easy enough to do.
 
There is no need to convert to DNG in this situation unless the OP specifically wanted to.

If they have CS3 (as stated), the ACR v4.6 plugin will work with the Olympus Evolt E510.
