Rating Ilford Delta at 1600 or faster

I am just wondering whether anyone has used Delta 400 rated at 1600 or even 3200. I have used HP5 and TRI-X successfully at 1600, but I have never used delta at all, but recently acquired a small stock of 20 rolls. With TRI X and HP5 I have developed in DD-X, rather than my usual stock developer LC29. Thoughts recommendations and warnings on shooting and souping all welcome.

So long as you use DD-X or a similar speed enhancing developer like XTOL you can shoot it at 800 with no change in developing time, and easily push tabular grain films to 3200.
