Anyone know of a brand of kettle that will very quickly switch off when the water boils.

My current (excuse the pun) kettle is a Lidl effort. It only has one problem and it is a big one. It boils for about 90 secs before turning off. That is money down the drain, or should I say up the walls, because it turns the kitchen into a sauna whenever I use it.
I have tried stuffing kitchen roll in the spout which reduced the water vapour, but dose not make the kettle shut down any faster.

As above, sounds faulty (unless it struggles to each boiling to turn off the switch). My philips one stops within three seconds of reaching boiling.

I use the breville one. It boils a single cup full at a time. Boils and dispenses in 30 seconds roughly. It includes a water filter too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Breville-V...90494&sr=8-3&keywords=breville+one+cup+kettle

You can get fixed single cup and no filter types of those for about £30.

Most kettles boil on a bit but 90 seconds is weird. I think it is faulty if it is actually a minute and a half.

I looked at water dispensers. OK for a cup or three of water, but lack the functionality of a kettle (y)

Faulty or poor design. I like sound of your Philips. (y) Do you know the model ?

Main thing is to smell the bloody things for unnatural plasticky odours (they are toxic as well - screw up your endocrine system, make allergies more likely and taste almost like poo) and that typically coincides with plastic parts...

Don't think I'll be going down the road of bothering about that.

Get a Qooker tap

We've a quick boil kettle - Dualit Model - and it turns off almost instantly it boils ...

One think I did notice some years ago when we bought our 1st fast boil one was they are noisier than the older element boiling kettle...

That's a great idea. Cost only about £1000. Pays for itself after you have made 3 million cups of tea.

No one mentioned a budget. :-)
