A 3 hour vist to the hospital has come down to me having to hope and pray i jump throught the right loops to get the drugs i need. we shall see..

Now i came out thinking poor me... then i was disgusted with myself i am not dying and am able to carry on with my life as i wish (ok i have problems). i thought why the heck are people in this country dying for the lack of the right drugs?? yet so many other for stupid reason get thousands for bigger boobs/smalller boobs.. ect.. stupid bloody stupid... i give up my drug if it ment money to save a life (boobs was an example)

sorry

Terri, keep plugging away at them and you should get some sort of satisfaction. Hope they get you sorted sooner rather than later or gawd help his lordship when he gets back!

Ah, the good old NHS drugs lottery! The NHS really needs a good shakeup, but I don't know what the answer is.

The medical system here in Canada is great, but you do have to pay for it (about $120 per month for 2 adults). That doesn't include prescription drugs though, and they can be very expensive. I have just had some medical treatment which all happened very quickly compared to my UK experience. I saw my Gp, was referred to a specialist on the spot and had my appointment 2 days later, then had surgery 4 weeks after that (only because I requested the date of my op, otherwise it would have been the following week!). I had exactly the same procedure in the UK where I saw my GP, received my specialist appointment 6 weeks later, then was put on a 6 month waiting list for my op.
