Sooooo.......
I got my three brand spanking new Bowens Gemini Pro R 1000 watt flash heads, and was looking forward to getting to grips with em.
Fast forward 90 minutes, I have all three installed and working...for about....
3 MINUTES!
One of the lights just literally turned itself off, and the unit is dead. Dead as a dodo with a truck parked on it. Tried all the fuses, different leads, read the manual, etc etc...nowt
For those interested, I got maybe 4 flashes in total - all TESTS with me using the TEST flash button.
Other two, sweet
I can survive with minimal PP on the two. With three, ZERO PP will be a reality.
I will of course take it back when Calumet open, the booklet says if a failure occurs in the first four weeks I can get it swapped in store or if stock is not available, a full refund.

PS - When I spoke to the official Bowen's head honcho on the phone a week or two back, he was VERY keen for me to report back any experiences - particularly problems with these units. He said he was merely interested as these are brand new to market, and hardly any have sold. Now I am starting to wonder if he is / was aware of a problem?
