Ranger Quadra RX new batteries

I'm thinking of upgrading to the new RQ Li-Ion type batteries. The Elinchrom website states over double full power flashes compared to the Lead Gel type. Just wondering if anyone has had a real life comparison and if that really is the case!

weight and extra power make it quite a tasty upgrade I reckon!

I bought Lithium battery when it came out. Very happy so far, it really holds a lot of charge comparing to old lead batteries. For most of my shoots I rarely get down to 75% of charge, never really need more pops. Bought it mostly for weight and size.

ahhhh nice to hear an endorsement. I'm looking at getting two of them, the only thing putting me off is the fact that it's the least sexy purchase I've ever made. hahaha.
