I've searched google on various computers and devices for my website. Sometimes it is high and sometimes it is low.

My phone browser has it high. But I've logged out of google, cleared all my Web history and data, rebooted and it is still high. Yet on other devices it is practically non existent.

Anyone know what I can do to test it properly? I think I need to work on my ranking again as it's practically dropped off.
 
I'd guess google is targeting what it thinks you are looking for dependent on previous search and browsing history (from each computer)
 
Google combine organic search with your browsing history to give you results. If you but as visit the site a lot on one machine it will appear higher on that machine.
 
Yeah I think that is it. I google my site a lot on my phone to check where it is. Bit obviously it is pants haha. Time to buckle down
 
what is the site done in and how many sites link to it?

Have you done all the alt tags on images?
Have you done page titles, meta tags and descriptions on every page?

It's in WordPress. got 3 if those free linking sites linking to it. I think I have page titles, definitely do on the home page. Think I need to do meta tags and page descriptions on every page.

I'm doing a complete fresh revamp at the moment. Awkward thing is that I have no internet until the end of April so gonna have to do it in the pub. will take all the above on board. Thanks
