Hi Matt,
First off I am no expert by any stretch of imagination so what I say is not gospel.
The Rubble Plants are all under-exposed for my taste. The desk idea is good but need cropping closer I think. Thedesk is too far away. The Natures' juice, the bottle is too small and quite dark so you can't "see" what it is.
The rest I think are quite good.
Best of luck.
Andy
And welcome to the forum, there is a wealth of talent and advice to be gleamed !

What course are you applying for?

Cool, great course with very good industry ties. I'm not on it but have some strong links with friends across a range of courses there. The following isn't gospel, but certainly seems to be what they're after after speaking to them etc....

Rave seem to place very high emphasis on what you've -done- and can demonstrate at interview - their offers are even often quite low in terms of grades.

Because they have such a vocational approach - they really seem to be after seeing that you've done original, self-starting stuff - the broadcasting courses are seeing a lot of people who've worked heavily on making good youtube content, for example. Theyee not after technical excellence so much as good ideas, and a real evident commitment to the media.

So get busy if you aren't already ! :p start a student tv station at your school, make a short documentary about something that interests you or is quirky or different, ask your local paper if you can have some work experience ,(and keep up that relationship and doing bits for them after the formal period is over) especially if they produce any web video, etcetcetc.

Good luck, rave is a great place :)

There are a mixture of different things on there from graphic design to speed painting and 3D special effects.

I have some work experience but none with an actual graph design company its just too hard to get hold of but i also run the school magazine and edit that.

do you have any sort of feedback on what i should include in a portfolio when applying?
