Woke up at about 02.00 to the heavy patter of raindrops on the tent...

No sign of damp this morning, but it's cool and grey...

Just the right time to be going out for a 14-day stint with Brigade Recce then... living under the stars - sleeping rough...
...pfft...

Two weeks ago it'd have been fine, but I just know I'm going to get ****ed-wet through every bloomin night...I just can't win...:suspect:
 
It'll be fine...it only rains at night here for the time being and showers tend to last about 20 minutes at most - we'll be harboured-up with ponchos and stuff (and a gore-tex cover for the doss-bag).
Last time I was doing this it was Summer and we just lay on the sand on top of a roll-mat and put a smock on...

It's just a faff having to take full-on European Winter kit out on a job along with everything else - i'm a great believer in travelling as light as possible...

I pity the guys going out after Xmas - it'll be truly horrendous by then...
