Hi Everyone I am new to this site, so sayng hello, I dont know if I have posted in the correct section but here goes,
I have had a radio flash trigger/ receiver setup for a few years but have not used it for a while, so I decided to connect it to my Canon 50D, but the pc connection from trigger to pc connector on camera doesnt work, although I can fire flash guns and studio lights by connecting the trigger directly by pc cord from trigger to lights using the check button on the trigger unit, I decided to connect the trigger via the 1.5mm jack socket on the trigger unit to pc socket on 50D, but before I did, I checked the voltage, which is a continuous 9.3v until the shutter is pressed then it drops to zero. What I was wondering is will this constant voltage damage the circuitry of the camera. Sorry if this sounds confusing and long winded.

Regards
