I know times are hard for us all but if anyone can support Diane (my wife) it will be very much appreciated.

Its something she does every year to honour her dad who sadly died of cancer when Diane was just 14 years old.

She has raised so much though Race for Life and in some way, we all benefit from it.

If you can't don't worry, just spare a thought for her on the day to spur her on!

thanks

Hi Mark,
It must be difficult losing a parent so young. My husband lost his mum to cancer when he was 18. His little sister was 12. Cancer is a horrible disease to which I've lost so many of my family to.
I too am taking part in Race for Life in June this year. This will be my fifth year. I'll think of you both on my day and hope her preparations are going well.
May well all make a difference to someones lives by raising money for a worthy charity.
Carol

Well done Carol,

Its a very worthy cause and over the years it has made a big difference to how Cancer is treated.

Good luck, I am sure you will do well.

And thanks!

Well done to folk who take action to work for and promote the things that are important to them (and important to a good many other people too).:thumbs:

It's too easy (and useless) just to sit and think about doing something.

Well done to all the others taking part in these events.

Good luck for this weekend.

I'm doing the race with my daughter again in July, in memory of my Dad who I lost 20 years ago and still miss him. This is my third year. It's a very emotional day but well worth it.
