Hi All,
I’m looking for a bit of advice for a quick release camera strap please.
I currently have the standard Nikon strap that my camera came with. However I'm looking for a cheapish camera strap that is quick release so that I can use my camera on a tripod without it tangling or introducing camera shake in the wind.
Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks.

OpTech IMO are still worth looking at.

Having said that I see Peak Design mentioned a lot but know nowt about them.

Domke Gripper Strap. If you fit the bit with the clip on the 'wrong way round' so the clip is at the end they leave nothing on the camera when you remove the straop.

Thanks for the advice guys.
I’ve been looking at the Peak Design straps and they get a good write up but are at the top of my budget. I’ll need to have a think.

Another vote for the Op/Tech range.

I use them on several of my heavier cameras, including the Nikon D600...

I'd stretch the budget and go for the PD button/anchor option. I actually have OpTech straps on a few of my bodies but if I was starting from scratch, I'd go the PD route instead.

Of course, you'll still need a strap to attach to the anchors!

Sending you 850 to the concrete.

I would go for the PD slide, put a wanted add on here or check ebay if there any used ones if you don't want to buy a new one

I bought a Peak Design slide lite a couple of months ago for my A9. Awesome strap and very happy with it. As others have said, the quick release anchor links make swapping between cameras or attachment configurations quick and easy.

Peak design

:plus1: For PD slide. I had one on my D810. Slide lite on my Xt2 and ,now Slide on my H1. Great straps IMHO

I use the PD Slide on my 850 too - I have a pair of them and all my cameras have the buttons attached so I can swap about easily. They're a little expensive I grant you, but can be picked up second-hand occasionally.

I also use an Evil Bay copy of the Slide light for my '70s and '80s cameras. Not as good as the PD one, but for lightweight cameras they're OK.

Is that meant to be a joke? If so, it wasn't funny and if not it was inacurate.

Only sayin'

Thanks very much guys. I really appreciate the advice and will definitely be going with the PP version.
I like the design and they specify a capacity of 200lb waayyyyy more than I need.
Again thanks.
