Cheers, that's helpful. I'd been assuming that the D3 autofocus would have similar capabilities to the canon 1D-series, so it's good to get confirmation.It autofocused on my D200, so I can't see why it wouldn't on a D3.

Yes, I know, but my question is really about whether it will manage in reasonable light.I will certainly try to AF. It will be light dependent whether it manages or not.
