Canon and Fuji.

Canon

Olympus

Pentax

...in that order.

Nikon for me. I went that way because on buying my first D-SLR a second-hand nikon D70 was cheaper than a second-hand canon 10D. The D70 also looked to be the better of the two cameras for my purposes.

1.5 years on and I'm happy that I chose nikon, I really love my D200. It just feels effortless to use.

I have a Nikon cos my Dad uses Nikon and I prefer the feel of them in my hand to the Canon at my price level, I always said I would consider a Canon if i were to buy a 'Pro' level camera because of the noise handling, but now with the new Nikon's coming out that appear to have as good if not better noise handling than the Canon's. Then roll on Nikon.

canon o/ quite impressed with alot of what i see from the nikons tho i have to say

Canon, but it could just as easily have been Nikon

Canon.

Did I mention Canon.:D

Nikons for me and better half - D200 when we're feeling brave, D80 when we're not, D2x when we're dreaming. Also big fan of Sigma lenses out front.

Zenit for me :D

Poll eh - clever, saves counting the other way

So far though, it's 3:1 Canon ahead

Nikon coming up on the rails now

Canon

i have a nikon but if the cannon had been more to my tastes id have gone for that

im interested in the quality of the gear not what name its got on it :)

both brands and other brands of course can produce amazing pictures so its a personal choice type thing :)

I don't know why I chose Nikon, I had this thing in my head before the digital age that Nikon were the best. I wouldn't knock Canon or any other make when on this forum you only have to look at the excellent standard of the images displayed, and this has little to do with the brand used but it's the skill of the tog behind the camera that counts.

I have 2 Nikons a D70 & a D200 does that count as 2 votes :)

Canon but was thinking of changing to Nikon but have just spent a shed load on lenses etc... so best stick with Canon for the next few decades!

Deano - your Canon lenses will do fine

Always 2nd rate - but 'fine'

You'll record an image - and always want for something 'sharper' - so just say 'Soz, it's a Canon' and they'll be fine

One day you'll grow-up

But hey - pencils are ok for kids, only adults need 'pens' = Nikon
