im useless with work flow, but now my laptop is nearing its HDD cap due to so many raw images i cant wait till i reach Oz to edit.

i tried lightroom but it kills my small netbook so its DDP for me.

my question is, i shoot RAW+Jpeg on the G11, once in DPP i jsut choose the RAWs to play with, what i want it to do is replace the existing Jpeg with the one created from the modified RAW file.

is this possible as at the moment i have them saving along side with DDP_xxxx numbers which is a pain.

cheers for the help guys

Isn't it just a case of you "saving as" then using the file name of the original JPG

[I don't think this is can be automated unfortunately]

You have to use the Convert and Save option, this will give you a pop-up choice of where you want to save the newly formed jpeg (default is the same folder as the RAW file)

As you already have a jpeg with the same file number in there it will ask you is you wish to replace the file. You can of course rename it to what ever if you wish.

If you have a lot of files you wish to convert and rename, then it would be the Batch Process option, as this would allow you to rename the whole batch at once
