Hi again folks,
I'm looking for a bit of advice here. I only have the basic ESF 18-55mm lens that came with my camera, it's ok but i need to move on a bit, I'm looking to buy a used lens for my Canon EOS 60D, after much reading i've decided i would like an "L series" 70-200mm IS F/2.8 mk I" (White)... Cant afford the mk II !!!..Now i know if i go for the non IS option its much cheaper " BUT" would this be wise? Or is there an option in going for the F4 with IS?. HELP!!..
As i'm sure you,ve already worked out i'm new to this but i want to get it right.
Any assistance would be appreciated
Calum.

70-200mm IS F/2.8 mk I is an awesome lens - mkII is a bit better - the IS improved and it's a bit sharper - but it's marginal - so the mki is much better for budget

the f4 is a lot lighter - BUT - having f2.8 makes for great portraits with the lens and the IS rocks at longer focus lengths

my advice go for the mki 2.8 is if you can afford it - but if you go lower in the range they hold value pretty well so you will be able to upgrade at a later stage

they will all be a huge step up from the 18-55

Thanks for the info,This is going to be an expensive hobby!!!!!!
