Questionable election...

just sounds to me like a personal joke/comment between a supporter and an MP. Are people seriously suggesting that no-one may notice if the major read the wrong result out?. I guess people are no longer able to make jokes
There are jokes and there are jokes. This was an inappropriate time for that kind of a joke imo. And one got to question what is on her mind if that is the first thing that comes out of her mouth.

Saying that, I happily stand correctly if this is for example a long standing joke and she does this each and every time to any candidate from all political parties.

I don't see the fuss. She had no influence over the conduct of the ballot.

Really?

I'd say it's inappropriate to video what was clearly supposed to be a private remark and stick it on YouTube.

Inappropriate? I don't think so. she was clearly carrying out the duties she is employed to do so no, If you are in an official position in public domain and in front of a microphone/camera one would not expect someone to be so unprofessional as to joke about something so serious.

She's the mayor. Mayors are people. People do stuff that can be taken out of context.

Then idiots stick it on YouTube and scream "conspiracy theory".

Yep. I lived for a long time in Bury which is close enough to be able to decipher it. Maybe it's changed but people used to be friendly there and make humorous remarks now and again. The internet will soon fix that.
Bit like this forum at times.
