We got a pair of rescue kittens a couple of months ago (found in a box on Knaresborough Station platform!). One of them has just got into the habit of taking a drink in the mornings while I brush my teeth:

So my question is, for the sake of that 'You've Been Framed' moment, should I flush or shouldn't I???

go for it. Make sure you are wearing chain mail though.

Wouldn't want her running up your "pyjama cord"...

Hmmmm... the dog favours the water in the toilet over his water bowl too, maybe there's something particularly flavoursome about it... maybe I should try it...

Slightly paranoid about our (stupid but very cute!) cat falling in so keep the lid down when not in use.

Did have to hold her under a running tap the other day - she got sapped (pine sap/resin) and my wife slathered washing up liquid all over the area. Got rid of most of the sap but left her (cat) with washing up liquid there instead! Cue me to do the holding while the wife did the splashing etc. It worked and I survived without a serious scratch! Next time, we'll use a blob of butter to get the sap off and let her (cat) lick the excess off - she'll like that!

Cats aren't bad in the water so long as the room is warm and the water is at the right temp.

One of my cats was in the bath the other week, she loved it til the water on her back went cold with the air lol

The only thing is, i they start thrashing about, grab it's neck like it's mother would've done when it was a kitten, it usually makes them relaxx and calm down, and always talk to kitty while you wash kitty

We have to keep our toilet lid down (took me ages to find that function, its hidden) because our cat was one for performing stunts over the pan, we didnt want to run the risk of him falling in and being unable to get out!

we've had him since october and hes had his first accidents in the last 2 days, poor b****r, obviously the urge to poo has been so great hes not had time to get to the litter tray in time (hes heading in the right direction!) poor little mans got diarrhoea and i dont know whats causing it, we;ve been giving him a few whiskas temptations over the weekend and hes also been spot on treated so maybe its one of those, hope it doesnt persist !

HAHA.............CLASSIC SHOT no doubt be all over the net shortly, get it watermarked

Funny you should show a thread like this as recently my 7 years old black cat kept being sick nearly every day for about a month along with a loss of appetite and I have been wondering what was causing it . . . until by chance I caught him halfway down the toilet bowl licking the water out of it.
Because I had this idea that he might have been licking off any residual domesto still in the water and on the side of the pan, I didn't like the idea of him drinking the toilet water. So, I made a point of keeping the lid down at all times (when we're not using it, of course!), and ever since I did that, the cat had stopped being sick. It's just that cats have very delicate stomachs and I think he was slowly being poisoned!
Just thought I'd come up with that one, the cat's fine now as he hasn't been sick in a month and his appetite's back to normal.

they cannot digest cows milk I'm told

there is a "cat friendly" milk from Whiskers - at a price..

2 semi-feral cats on the farm - I give them some of my goats milk - seem OK - but prob have a cast-iron gut from all the birds, mice and baby barn rats they hunt...:(

Flush it !

Flush it !!

Flush it !!!

Flush it !!!

FFS Just do it man!
You know you want too !!!! :D

I wonder how many women spend a lot of time teaching cats to play in the loo

Adult cats shouldn't be given milk, as explained above...water is perfect for them...

My cats used to have dreadful runs when fed cheapo cat food...naturally they were fine on teh expensive stuff :suspect:

Try goats milk, works for dogs.

he doesnt get given milk at all.

hes not showing any signs of being ill apart from popping a sloppy log out onto the laminate floor, will be interesting to see if he does that again tonight as he seems fine otherwise, not sure if hes been to the toilet much though!

Ugh! My Bengal cat loves water and always drinks from the running bath tap or will get in a bath of warm water and play for hours. We always keep the toilet seats down - I even trained the OH to do it too  - just a weird pet hate I have about toilet seats being left up
Just make sure you don't use toilet cleaners if you're gonna let your cat continue to lick the toilet bowl :gag:

Whitewash - there are numerous things that can cause diarrhoea in cats. My 10 month old cat just had worms :gag: which caused diarrhoea, although we didn't know she had them until she vomited them (put me off noodles & spaghetti for ages  ). Have a look here for more reasons cats can get diarrhoea.
