Question at camera club macro studio night using club light. There where 2 people in front of me 1 using a canon other a nikon.
I got the tranmitter pressed test button studio light went off.
Using a 40d canon attached transmitter again pressed test functioned ok.
Set up shot set to flash using manual mode when I took shot no flash. Tried a few more dame result thought maybe something wrong with hotshoe attached my speedlight took shot no problems. Again tried transmitter no gòod person after me then tried with no problems.

Has got me stumped works with speedlite but not with transmitter and studio lights....

Anyone had this problem before?

At the moment dont know make or model of lights or tranmitter!
 
Where you using live view? If so that probably your problem. I think if you turn off silent shutter in the settings it should work for you.

Dont know about live view as people in front where using it on there's
 
That was the problem with my 5D3 and photix triggers.

But a flash on camera wouldn't fire either.

I'd ask what shutter speed, a speedlight would go into HSS mode, but a remote trigger wouldn't.

Mine does. My Canon Speedlight works perfectly, but the triggers won't until i disabled silent shutter mode.
