So, I've got an idea for the up and coming shop that I'll hopefully be opening soon, but I need some advice about carousel projectors.

Now, only having used the standard magazine type before, am I correct in assuming that given an interval timer and left to it's own devices, a projector using a carousel magazine will just run on a continuous loop and not need any intervention to keep running and showing slides? I.E it would get to the end and repeat?

Thanks!
Nick

Yes, with the right controller it will just go round and round like a carousel

I might even know someone with a Kodak Carousel controller unit. And yes mods it will be put in the classifieds if necessary ;)

ooh. do ask him to put it in the classifieds won't you!

Thanks!

Yip. I remember using a Kodak Carousel projector for presentations/seminars back in the 90s, and we just left it running continuously over lunchtime for anyone who wanted a second look.

Its this one Nick...

It is an Arion Omni-Mate 2, just the programmer dissolver, no remote or power. Untested, so it's at your own risk but it was working when decommissioned.

By the looks of it the power lead will be a standard IEC cable and then if you have 2 projectors it looks like you can power them with standard IEC extension cables, all available from your local Maplins or AV department if you have one.

This isn't mine and I;m aware of rules regarding selling other folks stuff on the forum but since this is a give-away it shouldn't incur the wrath of the mods:D

Yours for the cost of postage.

If you want it I'll stick it up in the Freecycle section just so we're playing by the rules.

Cheers Nick, I'll get back to you in a couple of days when I'm sure that this idea will be OK before sinking a few quid into it

OK Nick, I'll pass on the message but if you're are interested I wouldn't leave it too long as I think it'll end up in skip very soon ;) Also, I know he's around for the next couple of days and then he's working away again so may be trickier to get everything into place.

Hi Nick,

Did you want this controller unit. It's now sitting in my flat and if you don't want it it'll be heading to the bin.
