Hi again.

As I have mentioned in a previous post, I have access to a set of 3 Bowens GM500 studio lights with umbrella's, but, after looking through the bag, I cannot find a Pulsar Radio Trigger System, I have found on ebay the following item....

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radio-Wir...s=63&clkid=5819500757975922057&_qi=RTM1066543

Would this work on the Bowens lights ?

I know that the lights have a photo cell meaning that a flash from a camera will fire them, but, I believe that a remote trigger of some sort is what is required if you don't want or need to fire your own flash from the camera.

Thanks again.

Those should work fine. As long a the receiver has a monoplug on the end it will fire the lights. And the last one you can slave off the first two. (Or fire one and slave two). The quality on these can be cheap so you'll probably get some misfires though.

The owner must have some way of triggering them. Maybe just the PC sync cord supplied when new (connected to one head, and the others will fire off that via their optical slaves) but this can only work with cameras which have a PC socket (or a cheap hot-shoe adapter).

I think the Bowens Pulsar triggering system is an optional extra so may not be part of the kit. Suggest a set of Yongnuo RF-602 triggers (cheap, reliable) and shoot at 1/125sec.
