From the look of it its just a speedlite with a battery pack so you could do alot better for alote cheaper.
You can get some really decent, cheap battery packs for speedlites and then splash out on an all singing all dancer Canon 580EXII & then grab 1 or a couple External Battery packs
Not for the 45 series, and not everyone uses Canon flash, hence the Turbos, which is what I want for my 45 digital.
You also need to remember that the Turbo connects to the high voltage input NOT the battery input this is why it reduces receycling by so much.
I have a standard Quantum Battery 2 which is superb but occasionally I need fast recycling.
Keep your hair on, I was giving you another options and noticed you use a 60D hence refering too the 580EXII you can use any flash gun with those battery packs and the recycle time is exactly the same as your precious Turbo2.
If your using a High voltage output surely you can just use a trigger but seeing as though you've bought it doesn't really matter.
Sorry for trying to help.
Depends if you want speed/capacity or just capacity.
The turbos do both and unless you have newer flashguns, they will eventually melt the internals.
I use a mixture if 2x2 and turbo 3. Both never let me down and would recommend either, although the 3 does have better connections and buttons.
I have a turbo 2x2 that I am about to pop up on flebay which has had new cells installed about 4 months ago and only been used a couple of times since. - interested make me an offer.
Sounds like the turbo for you
Try and get a 2x2 or newer as they gave different cells than the old turbo.
A second hand one is worth the risk as new cells aren't that much and you can DIY

You say DIY, how do you know what batteries!
Thanks
