Hi All,
I'm no pro and haven't written a lot here, but would like some assistance and advice if I may.

I've been asked by a friend for some 'Quality Lifestyle pictures' of one of their products.
Firstly am i right in thinking a 'Quality Lifestyle picture' is a photo in which the object in question is in its 'natural/normal' environment? E.G it’s a Kettle in a Kitchen.
And does anyone have any ideas for how to do this or techniques for best results?¿

and secondly, they're asking me for an estimated price for the 'job'. Again im not an expert but now have done 5 weddings and motorsport for 2 years. it involves travelling to the location of the Hotel they would like it set in, which i will charge 25p a mile, but does anyone have any idea on what i should 'charge' for the job itself, baring in mind this isn’t my full time job.

Any help is appreciated, you can contact me via Email if you wish.

Many thanks

J

A 'quality lifestyle' photo sounds like a matter of opinion. Ask them to show you some published examples of what they have in mind. And cost...ask them what their budget is as a starting point. Impossible to put a cost on the shoot until you know exactly what they are after. Studio? Special kit needed? Heavy editing? For web or a sixty-foot hoarding on the side of a building?

etc etc.
