Yes
i am sure this question has been asked lots of times, but what would people say is the best qualifications to get starting from the basics ie which are more Recognised?

thanks for your time

I'm not really aware of any Photography qualifications - i know the do degrees but not aware of professional qualifications like say Microsoft have.

i must admit i have not seen any but i have just started to look in to taking things to the next level as it where, but i dont no if it is just a case of practise or try and get on the degree course

do you want to do photography professionally then? like work in a studio? perhaps go talk to someone that runs a local one to see what advice they can give you - who knows maybe they'd take you on as an assistant.

in the futrue id like to yes (like 95% of people on this site:) ), but i have a long way to go i have only been shooting for about a year and a half but id like to start moving forward

i think practice and skill development goes a long way over qualification - maybe look at the degrees if you want to be taught but i think going it on your own, reading some, practicing and running the forums will help in a better way.

It very much depends on what you want to do. Some photographic ventures do demand recognised qualifications and others don't. If you want to do forensics or medical photography, you do need a degree. If you want to be a journalist then that is a different path, if you want to shoot fashion, again, different path...............sports..............weddings.............you get the idea. :)

What are your own areas of interest? If you know where you are right now then where do you want to be in two years and how do you get there? There are many types of qualification but an Annabel Williams £10K wedding course will not count for much in a press room :)

yeah i see what you mean its a case of having a specialty, my areas of interest are portraits but i would love to do journalism in war areas, as for where i will be in 2 years is down to how i get there, finding the best path is key, so i am just trying to find out the best way to go
