Anyone using these and how do they compare to the black rapids, fancy something different for my x100.

Hi micky. I bought one of these which i think is very similar to the Q strap? But then i found that the shoulder pad kept falling down the strap so i then bought this and find it much better as the under arm strap helps to keep everything in place. :)

Cheap as chips too.

Any pics of it in use?

I have considered one of these but my only reservation is that whilst inverted the camera body will become scratched with constant rubbing against abrasive clothing. I'm talking daily use, not occasional.

Really like the idea of these and was thinking of getting one for an upcoming trip I'm making.

One question I have is how secure is the camera when mounted to the strap? Are you able to wear the sling all day with the camera mounted and just grab as needed or is it cumbersome?

Cool I will check it out

I've had two q straps and the connectors on both have failed in a very short amount of time, fortunately no kit damage. I would never buy another and if I go back to a sling strap it will be a better quality brand

Had one...won't buy another. Mounting screw managed to undo itself and camera dropped...dead!

:(

The mounting plate on my first one would feel quite secure on my battery grip but would spin around on my dslr. The focus one I linked to is much more secure as it fastens in like a BR does.

I really like mine.... but by the sounds of it it's a ticking time bomb.

Guess i'd better go and check my screw!!

Will say that I never had an issue with the mounting screw/plate but I did only ever use the one that came with my original strap as I thought the next generation was a significant drop in quality! Basically all I used off the second strap was the attachment between the sling and the plate as everything else felt much cheaper!
