I need to show the time and date I took a photo preferably with the photo. Although I have CS5 it is important that that this data doesn't look like it could have been photo-shopped as it may well be used in court.

Any ideas?

The info should already be in your EXIF ...Original date and edited date

The time will be in the exit data, just leave it at that, anything more brings anything you present into suspision

I haven't done anything wrong (well not this time) I need to some how try print the photo to show the time and date it was taken.

It is to help with a judicial review. I have no problem in actually writing a statement stating when & where I took the photo, but the request is for the photo showing the date it was taken.

Just read the capture time and date from the EXIF info, and then type it in in Photoshop using the text tool.

Lightroom has options to print some of the exif such as date and camera settings alongside (e.g. underneath) the image.
I don't suppose that would actually look any more convincing than simply adding it manually as a text layer.
Any such information can be easily changed and I'm sure a court would know that were it crucial to a case.

If you open an image in Photoshop and go to FILE>FILE INFO then Camera Data, you'll see all the shooting data.

Of course the time depends on you having set it correctly in the camera...
