Hi folks just a quick one. I am currently in Berlin with my girlfriend and whilst in a pharmacy I picked up some of the above for four euros. I have never shot it before. The weather tomorrow may be a tad overcast. Would you recommend shooting this particular film to 200 or even 400? Would he results be bobbins? Should I stick to box speed and wait for any sun to emerge?

Sorry for all the questions and not performing a search. I am currently rationing my data and I know how helpful you lovely people are :)

I wouldn't, it's a bit touchy about being pushed from what I've read and I always shoot it at box speed. See if you can grab some Portra 400 or Pro-400H, they're both happy shot at wider range of ISO settings (as well as being 400 ISO to start with).

And don't miss Photo Akman just outside the SW exit from U-bahn Sophie-Charlotte-Platz, it's packed with old cameras. Nearby is Foto Hess on Kaiser-Friedrich-Strasse north of Bismarckstrasse, you should be able to get a good variety of film there.

Thank you so much :) I may keep the Ektar for some long exposure/sunsets back home when I have tripod. I have gorillapod with me but have forgotten my slr cable release!

Those two shops are already extensively researched :) Planning on going to one tomorrow. Was actually hoping to find some Portra and some Tri-X so you have given me hope!

I am in love with this city already. Have seen so many film shooters here its unreal. Back home I never see any! Word of warning, expect the show us your film shots thread to be flooded come the weekend :)

Thanks again!

And don't forget to go to Maroush on Adalbertstrasse just behind Kotbusser Tor for a schawarma, then walk up the street and around the corner (right) to Melek the nut shop and 24hr bakery on Oranienstrasse.

When the budget runs tight but you need a sit-down meal, go to Hirsch on Kopernikusstrasse (S-Bahn Warschauer Strasse, U-bahn Frankfurter Tor). The SchniSpaSo is the most expensive plate on the menu at 7.50 euros, and it's delicious and filling.
