I bought my camera and extra lens from A. J. Purdy and must say I had a good deal and excellent service from them.
 
Thats great always nice to hear about various sellers providing great service. I have a funny feeling that this should go in Suppliers, Shopping and Bargains, but im sure a friendly mod will move it for you.
 
They also split up lens kits and can sell the lenses in a white box at a lesser price... so keep your eyes open for these too.
 
This weekend only they have 5% off any purchase of more than £100. This brings the cost of an EOS 40D from them down to £692 before Canon cashback - pretty good I reckon

Are you on the latest version of firefox I have never been able to open purdys site until about 2 weeks ago, I remember installing the latest version recently.
 
If you put ajpurdy.com it wont open you get a page saying "Store loading"..........but ajpurdy.co.uk it will with Firefox (2.0.0.9)

Mmmmm, sure enough .com does not work for me,possibly I have been trying .com all this time and have only just clicked on .co.uk recently.
I was so frustrated at one point that I even rang them up and asked if their site was having difficulties to which they said they had not heard of any problems.

i'm afraid neither work in mine (2.0.0.9) for some reason, i think it might be a java problem although i'm completely up to date with it. Never mind :(
 
I have used these a few times and had great service from them. Very helpful and quick delivery times.

I'm using firefox and had the same issues this weekend. What i did was to cleare all my cookies and stuff, shut firefox down. Started it back up and hey presto i was in to ajpurdys website. I then ordered my Canon400D (body only) and with cashback i got it for £295 which was a bargain :)

Totally reccomend them, they were on the ball, friendly and informed me that there would be a slight delay due to stock. In saying that it took 1 day longer to arrive as stock came in the following day
