Hello all.
I'm in much dire need of a New Tripod that can carry the weight of my new equipment, I'm not sure what's best for my needs below, as there seems to be alot about! any help or advice would be gratefully received
My Equipment:
Canon 5D Mrk II
Sigma 120-300mm F/2.8
Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 IS
Canon 16-35mm F/2.8
Canon 100mm F/2.8
To be used for:
Motorsports, Wildlife, Landscape, Panoramics, Macro & HD Video.
I do need it to be able to take the weight of the Sigma 120-300 with a 2x converter on, and still be smooth, easy to manoeuvre and light.
Tripod would be also used on Shoots abroad so needs to be light enough to carry but heavy enough to be stable.
I'm looking at two brands for the tripod:
Manfrotto
Gitzo
for the Head:
I want a ball head. (think it's best for me) not sure what would be the best to get though?
Budget: Around £200-300 in total for tripod & Head
Bag:
I'm after a lowerpro Bag, but again there's many different ones and need it to fit most of my equipment, easy enough to carry on planes as hand luggage, but also for long walks, Motorsport, Wildlife days out.
so not huge! but again not small.
Budget:
Around £100-150 for the bag.
I've checked Manfrotto's tool, and Gitzo's site for building a set up.
but I'd rather ask to see if anyone using the same equipment or has a nice tripod, bag, or head they would recommend for the budget?
many thanks,
Cezare
