Guys I am purchasing a new camera and am torn between the canon 60d or 650 d
Any thoughts.
Cheers

whats your budget? If it just the 2 i would prefer the 60D due to bigger size and better grip in my opinion.

As you're coming from a 400D, in your sig, then the 650D would be an ideal replacement for you. You're already used to the layout of it as it's similar in size and ergonomics to the 400D and it's got a very good set of features.

The 60D, on the other hand, with give you the rear dial and top screen which I much prefer as I find it quicker to set up for the shot. The features in both of the cameras are very similar, I think there's a 1 stop difference in ISO between them, and the 650D has the touch screen and the ability to use the STM lenses for video work. I swapped my 60D for a 7D and TBH I found the pics SOOC from the 60D are cleaner and less noisy than the 7D. A 60D with a 7D AF system would be great. The wife has a 650D and loves it. I said she could have my 7D when I get my next body but she wants to keep the 650D instead.

The best thing to do to pop along to a camera shop and have a play. they will both give you great results but one may feel better in the hand. Its a shame Canon are taking so long with a 7D replacement

I have a 550d and my daughter has the 650d. I think the controls on the back of the 650 are a bit smaller and more fiddly than mine. It is a nice compact camera though and definitely worth trying them both out to check how they feel.

I could be wrong, but I think it has a later processor in the 650d than the 60d (I'm not certain what effect this has in the real world). The 650d also has the in-camera creative filters.

I meant to add.. I've now moved to a 5d3 and find I never use the top screen as I am used to using the LCD on the 550, and also I need glasses to see it!
