Decided finally not to take all of my DSLR equip on holiday as it was weighing close to the limit and my TZ5 packed up at the airport......spent a frantic 1hr 45 mins between internet and Dixons Tax free and finally decided on the Nikon P100 as my replacement as it has Wide / Optical zoom and size and weight as well as the most important thing.....MANUAL control.......

Will hopefully be getting some pics whilst away and will post.....fingers crossed as it looks like a nice piece of kit initially...
 
i would say enjoy mate and hope you got a good deal.
Yes it wont be as good as the slr but compacts/bridges are becoming much of a muchness!

we expect nothing short of a review when you get back plus your pics ofcourse!
 
Just done the same thing - picked up 2 cheap batteries for it & some memory.

I know its not my D300 - but its only a holiday :wave:
